Drawing on CBT and mindfulness tools, my therapeutic style gently introduces structure, inviting you to pause, explore, and make connections that lead to better functioning and healing.

I believe each person…

  • Has worth
  • Needs to be met where they’re at
  • Heals in their own time
  • Is the expert of their own life
  • Can have a greater sense of control and satisfaction through understanding why they think or behave the way they do
  • Deserves to be happy and function in their daily lives

I became a registered social worker in 2007. Most extended health benefits have coverage for registered social workers in BC. Please reach out if you’d like assistance checking your coverage.

When I’m not offering therapy, I spend my time in nature, creating inclusive queer art, cuddling my cat and dog, and being the best partner I can be.

Cecilia specializes in working with adult ADHD and trauma, drawing on art therapy, EMDR, and OEI to guide you gently with curiosity through your journey. She has many years of experience working with adults and youth on challenges ranging from co-dependence to life transitions, second-generation immigration, grief and loss. These challenges can affect life profoundly, but they can also be more subtle.  People may experience mild to severe symptoms of ADHD or trauma, which throw life out of balance or even leave emotional scars. Many areas of life, including work, relationships, health, and finances can be impacted.

To support you in your process, Cecilia is guided by the principle that every client’s experience is unique, and she honours your individuality. She believes in collaborating with and empowering you.

Cecilia holds a Master degree in Psychotherapy and Spirituality, with a specialization in Art Therapy. Her work is grounded in the psychotherapeutic theory of DBT (Dialectic Behavioural Therapy), neuroscience, and an embodied approach to healing.  She offers you knowledge and understanding in the form of psycho-education as a way to manage symptoms and behaviours, which often can bring emotional stability and clarity.

She also uses several psychotherapeutic processing techniques, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and OEI (Observed Experiential Integration) to help with processing and shifting emotions that are stuck.

Cecilia will hold space for you and support you as you take the next step on your journey toward restoration and growth.

I take a holistic and relational approach to support self-identified women (age 13 and up), and couples navigating life transitions, relationships, stress, sexual identity, trauma, grief, loss, anxiety and depression.

I work from the understanding that through self-exploration we can recognize patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that accelerate or keep us stuck in our growth process. I uphold the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Through our work, you will gain a deepened understanding of self.

I tailor my approach to meet you in your journey and provide support. I enjoy embracing the powerful healing the natural world offers. I wholeheartedly trust the process of healing in the rest of an outdoor setting, whether that be with grass under your feet, the sound of a stream trickling nearby or a view of the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Nature offers the gentle yet lasting reminder of our inherent connectedness and almost effortlessly unveils the wholeness of each of us.
